Distribution and Power Transformers

NARINDRA make conventional/sealed,ONAN,Oil immersed,Single/ Three Phase,50Hz Aluminium/Copper Double Wound,Continuous duty Distribution Transformers from 25KVA to 5000KVA upto 33KV class.

CORE- The magnetic core is built from high quality CRGO lamination coated directly imported from USA/Japan. Laminations are free from burrs and annealed for uniform heat treatment to minimize the stresses developed during slitting,cutting and punching.Our highly experienced design engineers prepare the complete design to ensure low losses and low noise levels.
WINDINGS- Transformers windings are designed to meet three fundamental requirements, such as mechanical,thermal and electrical.They are cylinderical in shape and are assembled concentrically.The coils are made from paper or synthetic enamelled copper or aluminium conductors of EC grade. Sufficient cooling ducts are provided to reduce the temperature rise of windings,oil and hot spot.
TAPPINGS- Tapping adjustments may be made by an off-circuit tap switch operated by handle on the outside of the tank(when the transformer is de-energized)with provision for padlocking on any particular tapping or by an on load tap changer which can be supplied for hand operation, local or fully automatic control.
TESTING- All transformers are tested for all routine tests and heat run test as IS:2026 at our works with the most sophisticated and calibrated centralised control panel.All of our transformers go through our 9 major tests to insure the same quality each & every time.

Servo Voltage Stablizer

Variation in the voltage is commonly seen all over the country.It is observed that voltage is low during day time and high during night hours.Moreover on holidays,peak hours,rainy days and when the agriculture load is snatched off,the voltage rises sharply.More voltage than the designed voltage is very dangerous.

The electrical equipments are generally designed for 230volts in case of single phase systems and 400volts in case of three phase systems.Efficiency is maximum at the rated voltages.Hence the deviation from the designed voltage effects the system performance in the following ways:-
In case of Low voltage problem,the electric motors/ light fittings draw more current,resulting excessive heating, which causes premature failure of motors/frequent breakdowns/dim lighting.
In case higher voltage problem,the electric system draws low current and causes failure of insulation results frequent breakdowns which ultimately damage the motors/light fittings.
Under the conditions of fluctuating voltage,the smooth operation of motors is acheived only by setting the overload relays by 15-20% higher to avoid frequent tripping of motors.This setting has to be done at the cost of the safety of motors.
